Head East is a Rock band from the Midwestern part of the United States. Their biggest hits were "Never Been Any Reason" and "*Since You Been Gone". (*Originally written by Russ Ballard). Their original frontman was John Schlitt. He was their lead singer from 1973-1980. The reason he left in 1980 was because his drug and alcohol addiction got out of control.
After Schlitt left the group in 1980, Head East banished into the limelight of obscurity. They're still around today. Unfortunately, the only original member left is Roger Boyd (who formed Head East as The Timeations in 1969). Aside from that, Head East just tours around the Midwest now. Does anyone else know about this band, or am I the only one?

I'm familiar with Petra (since I was raised a Christian and it was the only "rock and roll" I was allowed to listen to) but I never heard Head East.
