Why is it that a soda costs about $1.00 or so at any local gas station or fast food stop,
and a candy costs about $0.35 or so in any vending machine, but a soda is about $4.00 or more at a theater and a candy is about $2.50 or more at a theater ?????

Fact is I dont see how they can rip there customers off with there candy and sodas.

We all go to the theters to enjoy a movie we dont need our money being taken from us.

What is the most you spent at a theater by yourself or with friends ?
and what did you buy to spend so mutch ?

And as for those game store rental places, they want $8.99 for one game rental.

Gas has gone down to a fair dollhair and change why cant everything~else ?

Yeah, here candy costs $3-$4, and soda's $4:50-$5:50, depending on sizes. Freaking ridiculous, but thankfully I can bring in my own shit from 7-11.

I don't mind paying the extra bit for food, because tickets at our local theatre are only a buck fifty, and they're six dollars everywhere else.

It's the same at the ball parks, amusment parks or any other place where you don't have a choice. When I was growing up when money was tight my mom use to stash a few drink in her purse when we would go to the movies.

The reason they charge so much is because it costs them quite a bit to play the movie every time they do so most of there profit comes from the food. Popcorn is the worst. The stuff costs a few cents but they sell it for an insane amount.

I just sneak stuff in, I've never gotten patted down or if I bring a bag the ticket taker never asks to look inside it. Life brand pop from Shopper's drug mart comes in bottles about the same size as a large pop and they cost under a dollar, I tend to take one of those.

I rarely get food at the movies, when I do I go for the thing where you can fill a paper bag with candies and they charge based on the weight of the filled bag but the theatre where I live now doesn't have that. They do have a food court with places like Pizza Pizza and New York Fries that on the rare occasion I'll go to.

6 dollars? I have to pay 9.95 for a ticket here in ontario :(
