is it your experience, that online petitions, for example to have an old cartoon show released on dvd - doesn't work?

This sprung to mind, while I in another forum on RJ, tried to ask for peoples help concerning a much-missed animation..

To my knowledge it DID work for Thundercats and Silverhawks, just recently.

I don't think petitions had anything to do with Thundercats and Silverhawks being released on DVD. I believe Warner Home Video just wanted to release those shows, although the fan service might have help though.

well - thundercats has a large fan following on facebook, topping half a million people.. but maybe that page is backed by warner to get the sales to rise?

You are right. online petitions NEVER work, and can be easily flooded/spammed to have a lot of "signatures."

they are best suited to take out the frustration of WAAAAH NICKELODEON DONT AIR SALOOT YER SHORTZZZZ AND OTHER THINGS THAT WERE GOOD NOMOAR WAAAAAH :cry::cry::cry: *emotears*

all they are is just stupid spam. and it'll be locked.

If you're talking about any of the "pages" here on retrojunk, they are all now ad-based, and the ads are at random, but usually try to stay on topic (eg: going into new real world gives you BS ads about obama and palin, etc) and shouldn't really be trusted

meanwhile, I'll lock this. We DO have a bit in the rules about online petitions for a reason.
