zilly 5 years 9 months ago Posts: 723	I saw this last night and all I have to say is it was AMAZING! probably one of my new favorite movies. there were moments of humour, action, and just a great original plot line to it. there is no wonder it won best picture it completly deserves it. definetly go see it if you havent yet. one other thing, the guy who play the main character Jamal is really cute and he's only 18!!

That's what it's for for pete's sake -------------------------------------------------------------------------- I'm kinda skeptical about seeing this. This kinda seems like the Little Miss Sunshine/Juno type Oscar films of the past two years. It's been gettin a lot of hype and popularity, but is it REALLY worth it? LMS and Juno were NOT even Best Picture material to me. It's getting released in alot more theaters now, so I might give it a watch to see if they can prove me wrong.

Funky Guy 5 years 9 months ago Posts: 2638 Account Disabled	I finally saw an actual trailer on tv for this movie, somehow I hadn't till now. It doesn't look like my kind of thing, it seems to be a Bollywood style movie shot with a Hollywood budget. I like some Indian cutlure, like Ravi Shankar music and curry food but Bollywood movies just don't make it for me.

A hard one to watch, especially at the beginning. I don't like to see children hurt. But a great movie and makes you feel fortunate to live in the US.
