OMG. This is so crappy & so bland. Nothing much, just a cartoon Japanese duo which got into antics. Not having a set bad guy was B.A.D!!!

Very true. The reason they had to change their name for the states was because of the name already being licensed, so to speak.

Something that's interesting, is that in Japan, they still release stuff under their name "Puffy", but, fans and such call them PuffyAmiYumi now. I noticed it on Hey! Hey! Hey! (wish it was subtitled). It's a music show where different artists have live performances and have chats with the hosts (who are silly, btw). Anywho, for one ep that they were on there (along with Namie Amuro and Morning Musume), they were introduced as "PuffyAmiYumi", even though the name on the screen only read "Puffy".

As far as I know, their career in Japan is fine. They still seem to be fairly popular.

I dislike any show that tries to be Japanese even though it was made here in the U.S.

Even though the show is based on a Japanese duo? It's a way to get Ami and Yumi some exposure and I guess to help with record sales since they're releasing albums here in the states.
