Mezase Master 5 years 10 months ago Posts: 7419	Excellent, trippy, imaginative, and far-out film, I saw it this morning, and it was way better than I imagined. Definitely Tim Burton's best since Nightmare Before Christmas. The music and visuals couldn't have been better or more in-sync with each other, and the characters all have great voices and unique appearances (even their movements are all different). I would recommend this to pretty much anyone who's into weird claymation stuff, best movie of the year so far.

Not really your fault, i thought the same thing, the way they did the commercials for it made it seem like it was a Tim Burton film, also it looks like something he would have done.

System 5 years 9 months ago Posts: 74809	The director of the film is the guy who did A Nightmare Before Christmas. Tim Burton only produced Nightmare. (I think he has a writing credit too.) Henry Selick is the director. He also did the very under appreciated Monkeybone. Coraline was written by Neil Gaiman. He also wrote the novella.
