Freddy Mercury was such an outstanding live performer that he's not been surpassed since 1973 or so... some people come close but not close enough. Their early music was very audacious with technology- March of the Black Queen was bold with its multi-layer lyrics and guitar. And A Night At the Opera is one of the best albums ever no matter what genre you examine. "I'm just a musical prostitute, my dear!" Freddy Mercury.

Mad about drumming 87 5 years 7 months ago Posts: 709	March of the Black Queen, Keep Yourself Alive, Killer Queen. Three songs I can list off the top of my head that rock hard. When I listen to Queen and then look at some of the stuff that passes for music today, I just shake my head and wonder what the heck happened? Of course, I'm not one of those guys who thinks that all new music is bad, I just think Queen is that much better.
	All of this Political Correctness junk is going to turn me into a modern day Archie Bunker before I turn 30.
