I hope this is allowed here...
I wanted to let you all know about a talent contest that is currently running over at Chip 'n' Dale Online. The theme is "In the 1950s" in honor of the 50 year anniversary date of "The Day the Music Died." The only major guidelines are that the piece includes Chip and/or Dale (since it's a Chip 'n' Dale contest), and that it incorporates the theme in some way.
The contest is for both artists and writers, and the winner will be awarded an Amazon gift certificate in an amount to be determined by the judges (depending on the number of entries received - past winners have won $25 gift cards, with less than ten entries submitted).
Again, my apologies if it isn't okay to advertise the contest here... but with so many fans of retro animation here, and so many talented artists and writers, I figured I might as well let everyone here know about it. The more competition the better.
If you're interested, the full contest details, rules, and instructions on how to submit your entry are posted in an announcement over at the site.
Best of luck to anyone who decides to enter.
