jango52577 5 years 10 months ago Posts: 2806	Today I went to Big Fun and started my McFarlane toys KISS "ultra action figures" collection. I love this set because they come with so many accessories and the letter bases (K-I-S-S) are a nice addition. When you have all four (which I plan on buying) you can pose them all together and spell out Kiss. My friend's brother in middle school also had this set and I immediately thought of it the moment I started becoming a serious Kiss fan and collector. The first figure I bought was you guessed it, Peter Criss and man is he cool. I'm really looking forward to collecting the rest of them when I have the time and the money. They usually run for about $20 mint on card. I would estimate they were about $10 retail when they first came out but I guess they've grown in value in the last 12 years since this line came out. However I got this figure on sale for $18 and it was worth every penny. I think I may buy Gene Simmons or Paul Stanley next. Most likely I'll buy Gene because he's my second favorite member of Kiss. What other action figure do you know of that includes a drumstick launcher?? That's right. None that you know of...

Gundam_Warrior 5 years 10 months ago Posts: 589	Irony is I found both the 1st McFarlane series and the Psycho Circus toys in the Attic along with all my other mint in box toys. I kept those and some of the Deluxe Star Wars figures and opened them up (I checked on Ebay these are hardly going for anything) and all 8 are now displayed on my shelf.

Big Fun is a vintage toy store in Cleveland Heights, OH on Coventry Rd. that specializes in all things retro from as early as 1950 all the way up through the 90's. I've been there at the very least about seven or eight times since I first heard about it a year ago. If you live in Cleveland, its retro central. I once thought about making some free business cards for this site and leaving them at the store if it would be ok with them and with the admins of RJ.

Why did he even brother checking out this thread than? People like that give open fourms a bad name. Anyhow, back on topic. I actually do sill have some Kiss Alive action figures from McFarlane, I had all of them besides Peter Criss, nothing against him, I just couldn't find him. One christmas my sister also got me a Gene Simmons "Pshyco circus" figure, that was pretty cool. Truth be told, I've got really out of Kiss though. I mean I don't dislike them and they still made some of the best rock anthems of all time. Gene just ruined Kiss for me though. I mean action figures is one thing, that's cool. But a Kiss coffin and Kiss condoms? I thought that was too much and I was pretty much done with them. Geez even Garfield the cat would think Kiss was a total sell out band, ops:
