I walk my happy butt everywhere because I don't have a stateside licence and getting a German one would cause 3 thousand euro.
(they buy one liscence and it lasts their lifetime, thats why its so expensive)

Wow! What a terrible idea! Do they have photo licenses? Because that would just be stupid to have one your entire life. And do they have a payment plan? Because I don't know anyone who would be able to afford that. And what if you lose it, do you pay for another one?!

I drive a 1989 Ford Festiva. Laugh all you want, but it still gets good mpg for its age, drives like a go-kart, and parks easily into any parking space. It's had a couple major repairs on it over the years, but overall it runs well and I'm happy with it.

      My first car was a 1980 Toyota Corolla/Tercel. :|

ooo I would love to have a CTS-V!

              You're not the only one!
$52,000 for the V is an awful lot of money.
They had a maroon one on the lot, that was incredible. But like I said $52,000 is out of my price range. Now for $32,000 you can get the same drivetrain in the GTO!!!

'89 Ford Bronco 2 (very tough truck)

2001 Mitsubitshi Mirage (excellent gass saver)

1996 Ford Taurus. And I love this car.

I have a thing for huge cars, and the ugly hooptie beaters at that. This car was well-worn when I got it, and while it has it's quirks (mechanics dream) it runs decent while it's screwed up.

When I say well-worn, the owner was this elderly guy who scratched the living daylights out of it, it was just starting to show rust, and the interior was filithy, but it cleaned up OK. My folks paid $2,000 for it 3 years ago, and it only had 48,936 miles when purchased from the first owner. And the commerical about a '97 Ford Taurus is wrong. The 3.0 gets awful fuel milage. I get about 10-13MPG, but only because I have ledfoot and drive agressive.

The owners wife was in a famous photo you may have seen on t-shirts, mouse pads, and napkins. It's of these three girls sitting on a stone wall, very old photo.

What are car insurance prices like in America? All these college kids seem to have shiny expensive new cars. Here in the UK, when you first start driving the insurers would laugh at you trying to insure anything bigger than a rusty Nova with a 1 litre engine.

I drive a 2 litre 2000 Vauxhall Vectra SRI. In the past I have owned a 1.2 litre Renault Clio (She was my first) and a 1.4 litre Golf.

                                    It varies.

It's funny... in america, if you drive a little car your insurance is more.

I don't own a new car, but there's quite a few spoiled kids. I graduated with this one kid... I went to public school, and really poor town and his folks bough him a $25,000 truck that wasn't really pratical for him, but it's ruined anyway -- I saw him messing around with the interior one day.

And do NOT get me started on little economy cars. They cheese me off to no extent. I pay yearly.. cuz it's a lot cheaper and it's $1081 a year.
