I wouldn't consider them underrated because they have alot of good songs that nobody seems to know, unless its Baba O'Reily, My Generation, Behind Blue Eyes, or Wont Get Fooled Again. I actually kind of disagree with FunkyGuy, I don't think they have a divided fanbase at all. I think Townshends songwriting has a song for everyone he has so many different styles. The Who are like The Beatles of harder rock, they have songs that are so creatively made, and not just famous because of good guitar solos(though I love that too) They are just good songs in themselves. I will always love The Who and I think if you really looked into them, you would find yourself liking them too.

Like I said before, you just got to find the right group of songs in their whole library; not just the basics. Which leads me to my next point that sometimes people need to know the difference between overrated and overplayed. Their are some bands that, sure they get played alot in stores or on the radio, but that doesn't make them not deserve the credit for making the music. For ex. I currently am kind of tired of listening to ACDC, but I don't think they are a bad band for it, or think they are overrated, they may just be played too much. After a while of not listening I will enjoy hearing the songs again.

I read an article on them in Rolling Stone and it was like they were talking about some different band. When I finally heard them, I was like "Woah, they're just some shitty Creed knockoff"
