The dinosaur balloon's "thingie" is actually his stopper for the air to go in.

    THAT'S EVEN WORST!!!!!!!!

I once had a nightmare dealing with Super Mario 3, but it really had nothing to do with the game itself, just the fact that I was playing it when I died in my dream.

Anyways, for a traumatic game, I'd probably pick Shadow of Destiny for the PS2. Finding out the real ending to that game was just plain weird.

Adventure for the Atari 2600, that game used to give me nightmares due to the ambiguous nature of it. just something about dead silence with a longe square for a hero that's unsettling on a young kids mind, especially with those Duck-Like dragons that can traverse walls.

I almost cried at the end of Kingdom Hearts. I can't wait to get KH2 in March, so Sora and Kairi can be united again and I can stop wondering. . .

LMAO same thing happened to me, what a great game.

I really can't remember any games shocking me, or bothering me when I was little. Mortal Kombat was cool, not traumitizing. uh...

One thing though, which is sort of off topic because it's not a video game...

My first anime i saw at like 5 or 6 was Akira! That movie scared the living shit out of me! Get this:

So I am 5 or 6 or whatever watching TV at night right before bedtime. When this strange cartoon comes on, and it's a movie! I've never seen a cartoon so cool looking before as this one, and the people in it almost look real! How cool is this cartoon? I have to watch it! But no! Mother tells me it's bedtime and I have to go to bed oh no i'm gonna miss it!!!, so instead of risking getting spanked, I do what she says. For one of the first times I sneak out of my room into the living room and turn on the TV, volume ALLL the way down...just hoping to not get caught. I can't miss my only chance to see this reall cool looking, interesting show... then about an hour later or whatever the freaky shit starts to happen and I get scared as shit and run back to my room to hide under the covers, hahahaha!! Probably about 10 years later I saw the whole thing.

The possessed piano in the mansion from Super Mario 64. Approach it, and it'll come alive, chomping loudly and banging random notes. It scared the absolute crap out of me when I first played it!

I remember one of the pit fatalities, which involved falling and being impaled on tall thin spikes while screaming and spurting blood... pretty disturbing. It also gave me an unpleasant shock in Lolo, when I would get unexpectedly hit by a knife by one of the pink monsters.

I played an old japanese NES game on a friend's emulator years ago it was fan translated..called Sweet Home.......freaky game...

but the first to give me the creps was maniac mansion. I love the game even then but sometime i'd get scared when the tentacle would come after you or if I ran into one of the Edisons

I can't really remember the name of the game.. It was a game my brother owned for PC. You were driving in a car and you needed to kill people by hitting them and you'd get different kind of points awarded for different kind of people. The thing that shocked me most was that at some point you'd have spikes in front of you car and people would be pierced by them.. Really was a sick game.. Think I was about 10 years old when I played that..

I may get laughed at for this. Back in high school I had American McGee's Alice for PC (think: evil Alice in Wonderland). There was two things that freaked me out in that game. In the opening sequence, you'd find out how Alice's parents die in a fire and during gameplay, there's this part where you are small and you have to ride a leaf down some stream. However, if you fall off the leaf, a fish will jump and eat you. That used to freak the hell out of me because it was really fast...and I'm kinda scared of fish.

That's not a bug. :P It's just something that exists in the game as one of the ways to freak out Weird Ed. It existed in the original version of the game on the Commodore, PC, and other platforms.

If it was ever removed from the NES version, it was because of censorship - not because it was a bug.

When I was a little kid I remember seeing the old Laser Disc game "Dragon's Lair" for the first time. Some older kid was playing it at the local Chuck E. Cheese's. When I looked at the screen I saw -- A CARTOON! AND HE WAS PLAYING IT! What scared the hell out of me, though, and had me not able to sleep for a week, was when Dirk the Daring died... he literally rotted and turned into a skeleton before your very eyes, and then the bones fell apart! OMG that was sooooooo scary!
