Yeah, lets calm this one down here pretty quick. He did take a crack at her boyfriend, but she did overreact to it.

    *points to forum rules*

That would be baiting and flaming, so lets keep it all friendly, if we could.

As for what to get your guy, there are two things that any guy would love to get for christmas. You in a big red bow and nothing else curled up under the tree (or maybe thats just my fantasy, I dunno), and cash.

Girls, men don't get into that whole "gotta find the perfect gift" thing, not for ourselves anyway. We understand that cash is good, its not impersonal for us, and we like it because there is so much we can do with it. Don't go getting gift certificates though, thats just too limiting. Get him a hundred bucks, all in ones, and make a big pile out of it. Or better yet, get a hundred of those gold dollar coins and put them in a little black leprechaun pot!

Edymnion has a point....guys don't really focus on how much thought goes into a gift. Even something *really* special doesn't linger on the mind for us. For some of us, the whole gift giving thing is just an annoying part of being married. As far as I'm concerned, I'd rather go without getting gifts and not have to buy any for anyone. Forced purchasing of gifts due to 'holidays' such as Christmas, Valentine's Day, Easter, or even birthdays, is rubbish, imo. For kids, sure....but continuing the trend into adulthood seems more programmed than heartfelt.

This message is to you, Mystie.
I come to these boards to see what people who have the same interests have to say about stuff that is important, and not important. I read your post about the pillow and automatically thought "wow, that was nice of her". My comment about the said undies and cape was not a cheap shot at you, nor your boyfriend. Just something funny to say. Since I have obviously offended you, I apologize.
Also, in your post to me, thank you for writing "You know what". After reading that, I immediately knew I was going to learn something. And I did. I learned that the sarcasm of one, can really bring the Christmas Spirit down for another. And for that, again I am sorry. I'm not really a bad person, Mystie. And please don't let my small number of posts along with my rank as a "newbie" dictate how you view me or my comments. One day, I too, will be a King Pimp. Until then...

May the Merriest Christmas be yours.

Sorry, sorry, I'm just a little uptight when it comes to him. I haven't gotten to hear from him in weeks, don't know when he'll be back other than 'when the job's done', won't see him for Christmas, don't know if he's dead or alive or even where he is for certain.... *sigh*

I repress a lot and kind of let it out in big fits instead of being a constant bitch. Sorry.
