Please kurt, there have been enough threads about us missing a certain decade. a lot of people complained about things of today sucking because they aren't like the old times and today;s genration ruined things.

if you're one of those people, then i suggest keeping all that negativity to yourself or share it very little.

Yep, I miss the 90s, but not enough to create a thread just to say 'I do, do you? You see, we all 'miss' (or like things from) a certain decade and that's why we come to this site. It makes a bit more since to create threads about things we liked and why from past decades, if that makes since. I think this should have been in memory lane anyways, unless you plan to create a 90's related article, that would be cool :)

I agree with Chris. I think we have hammered the whole "I like the 90s" "I miss the 90s" The 00s suck" enough already. As I said before we are getting older, things don't seem as new anymore so that innocent/simpler time in our lives will appear to be better. In other words if you were the same age as you are now then you would be saying the same things about the 80s or 70s.

I don't, not really. I can't think of any moments from my childhood that I'd feel like revisiting.

As for material things from the '90s... video games, movies, TV shows... well, I can still find those things easily enough.

It doesn't have to be 1995 for me to enjoy something that was made in 1995. Therefore, I don't bitch about how badly things suck today, nor complain about some TV show not being on the air, anymore.

Besides, there's nothing wrong with this decade. We'll all be worshipping it in 10 years when it becomes "retro", anyway.

Theres a lot wrong with this decade imo, anyway I won't be nostalgic for it ten years later, I just hope the next one will be better.

                        You sure about that?

Did you think things from 1990 were "retro" in 2000? Or, how about this: Currently (as in, the year 2009), a lot of people are beginning to refer to pop-culture things from 2000 as "retro". A decade's generally all it takes for most people to go from hating an era to longing to have it back. And yes, a LOT of people hated the '80s and '90s during the '80s and '90s.

Yes, I'm very sure about that, and yeah 1990 was retro in 2000, because many things changed quickly between those years, hmm...I don't consider 2000 retro, mostly anything before 1996 or 1995. well of course there were people who hated those decades while living in it, thats for any decade - to each their own!, pretty much just like me for this decade, except I don't hate it completely, but years ahead, theres nothing I will miss about it, but maybe you will.

I won't miss anything about this decade, because I know that anything I want to know about it will be easily accessible via the internet/classic TV/wahtever, the same as things from the '80s and '90s are easily accessible to me now, if I want them.

Do I miss the NES or some other classic video game system? No, because I still own all of them.

Do I miss watching "In Living Color" on TV? No, because I have every season on DVD.

Do I miss "classic" music from the '90s? No. I can still find any old Smashing Pumpkins album I want in pretty much any record store.

Do I miss the way those things made me feel when I was a kid? No, because they still make me feel that way. If they didn't, I wouldn't be wasting my time on them today.

Good for you, so if you don't really miss those decades, why are you here?
theres more to the 80's and 90's than the things mentioned, all which I prefer more over this one, I do love the 2000's for it's technology, but it's all gonna get better anyway.

I know there's more to those decades. Those were examples. I'm here not because I have some sort of longing for those decades, but simply because I enjoy discussing certain "retro" things with other people.

Okay, well I guess theres two types of people on RJ, those who long for the past decades or "stuck in them" and those who just likes to talk about it.

Let's make it simple, and say normal people and autistic people.

I love the 90s but I also love the 80s butit's not like they were the greatest decades on earth. I'm not those types of people who want to live in these decades over and over again...my point is people like grindcorefan are seriously stuck in a past and would not allow themselves to move on in the future....as I said many times before I don't hate this decade and it's not the worst decade ever but I at the same time I don't like it even though I like some of the shows/movies games and technology that came out in this time.
