The Internet is an answer I can understand better, since it changed everyday liife. I would say the spread of democracy and freedom, and the end of the Cold War as it was decided to break up the USSR on 25 December 1991. The fear of terrorism was not so big until the aeroplanes hit the World Trade Center on 11 September 2001.

I can't even listen to any pop song of today without picture two people fcking in a gas station bathroom stall. That's how raunchy it sounds. Then you have the super clean cut pop like Taylor Swift and the Jonas Brothers. Amazingly it sucks so bad that it only appeals to 7-10 year olds. The music industry sucks because it's so polarizing, there's no variety, there's nothing in the gray areas. That's about the only thing I miss. I can make it without tv shows and cartoons (I'm an adult, I don't even watch cartoons anymore unless they're on or were on adult swim.) I don't know why everyone keeps bitching about Nickelodeon, it makes me feel like you people don't even remember the 90s. Bitch about stuff that's supposed to appeal to people of OUR age, not of 10...fck. I'm sick of these Lady Gagas and Beyonces being shoved out to us. Their music is stupid, horrible crap, plain and simple. Who in their right mind ever thought any of Beyonce's songs were interesting to anyone above the age of 13 is beyond me.. And what you people doing about it? Sitting there bitching about Nickelodeon and kids cartoons... ::sigh:: Do you people even deserve music of a complex quality? Do you even deserve anything of a decent quality?
