Were you excited about The Matrix when it first came in theatres?

No. I didn't even like those movies until seventh grade, and by that time Revolutions was at least a year old.

        Wow you're young.

I was excited for the Matrix to come out. I was all like "WOAAHHH" when I first saw it. It made me realize that my body is being used just for its energy output.

That is somewhat silly because if the machines were so advanced, it could just burn the energy straight from severing the chemical bonds from which energy is stored. Why would they bother producing food to feed us, then using the energy released from our bodies? It makes no sense.

I was pretty impressed with the Matrix when it came out in the movie theaters. It had the feel of a spaghetti western to it. I remember watching the closing credits and the hair on the back of my neck standing up as Rage Against the Machine playing. Bad Ass!

I wasn't looking forward to it at all. Some of my relatives begged me to go see it. It was a great film, but sadly the other two sequels were less than perfect.

I didn't see The Matrix when it came out in theaters because I was only 13 at the time therefore I couldn't see it. However I thought it was a great film when it first came out on video and I agree with millions of others when I say it was a total mind fuck the first time I watched it. The Lobby Scene is also a classic action scene on par with the bike chase in T2 and Luke Skywalker and Darth Vader's first battle in The Empire Strikes Back. I saw both the Matrix sequels and while they weren't horrible they just didn't entertain me or stand out in my opinion as much as the original film.

Aftr its release, my stupid housemate spent two weeks raving about how real life was the Matrix designed to oppress you. He took the unusual step of quitting his job to pursue his 'dreams' which involved not paying rent, so he was asked to leave. I liked the film very much. Trinity was so slickly cool and poised. The third film showed the storyline had run out of puff though.

No, not really. I was watching Jet Li movies at the time like Black Mask, My Father is a Hero, and The Bodyguard from Beijing, and thought they were much better.

I love Drunken Master. If more people saw it, they'd stop comparing Bruce Lee to Jackie Chan and realise Chan's far better.

But we were talking about The Matrix. I remember the hype over the 'evil twins' in the second film who were a very big let-down. Duuuulll. The brightest spark of that film was Monica Belluci and her arrogant husband. "I love swearing in French; it's like wiping your ass with silk."

The second and third matrix movies were pretty disappointing...except for the fact that they actually kept the Ducati 998 in production for an extra year to release a special matrix model in that dark green color.

I like Jackie Chan and have seen Drunken Master. I don't know if I would compare Jackie to Bruce though. I think they're both good in their own ways. I actually like Jet Li, Yuen Biao, and Donnie Yen more than Jackie to be honest.

Those guys are all good. And to think, a HK stunt master did the wire work training in The Matrix!
