The Heavy Metal soundtrack album on Vinyl!! I've been looking for this album for two years since I first saw the movie and almost as long as I've had a turn table. And the funniest part is that I wasn't really looking for it. I was actually trying to scope out a copy of Trainspotting on DVD after work today because it looks like an intriguing movie not to mention it also stars Ewan McGregor who you may already know as Obi-Wan Kenobi in the Star Wars prequel trilogy.
Anyhow, after looking for the movie in four stores (Target only has the movie on Bluray, it's too expensive at FYE at $19.99; Walmart didn't have it and I didn't feel like sifting through the $5 bargain bins for nothing, and it was too expensive in my opinion for a used copy of a movie at the Exchange at $11), while I was at the Exchange (my third favorite vinyl store after Half Price Books and Hodad's Music, which is sadly closed now) after being disappointed in the price of their used copy of Trainspotting, I decided to peruse the Genesis games case for a minute and then I decided to randomly root through the vinyl for a minute and the second album I sorted through in the "H" section of the vinyl sure enough was the soundtrack for HEAVY FRIGGIN' METAL!!
And I was so stunned and surprised I started laughing and I couldn't believe it was only $3, so I quickly grabbed it and went up front and paid for it and jumped on the bus home with my prize in hand. I win today!! And I have my final crown jewel for my vinyl collection along with other great albums like Kiss' Destroyer, Pink Floyd's The Wall and The Dark Side Of The Moon, and the Beatles Red and Blue greatest hits albums from the 70's.

To make a long story short on Trainspotting, I may wait to get the movie till after I get my Tax return because I want to get myself a new mattress and box spring (my old one is killing my back) first and foremost and then a decent R/C helicopter, which I've wanted since my birthday in November. Toy grade R/C copters have brought me plenty of pain and frustration and if you ask why I'll hit you...lol j/k So crappy toy copters aside, I decided I would spend a little more and get a nice hobby grade copter that is built to last and easy and relaxing to fly. Not to mention also if I kill the thing completely I can totally fix it using replacement parts.
