This british rock group was famous for their hit "Bittersweet Symphony" back in 1997. However, they were sued for using a sample from an orchestral cover of The Rolling Stones

Nevertheless, The Verve is one of the best bands of all time, despite drugs, breaking-up multiple times, and lawsuits. I found their 1995 "A Northern Soul" at a music store the other day. One of the best albums ever in my book. They combine different elements of music into one track, and it just sounds sublime. I recommend this group for anybody out there who likes Oasis, or other 90s alternative.
