I think this game has been wiped off the face of the Earth.

I used to play it at Chuck E. Cheese back in the early 80's (that may or may not help)

It was a game about ninjas.

You would have an actual rifle (it was a shooting game) and the background would light up and these plastic ninjas would run up cliffs and what not and you would have to shoot them

When shot, they'd make the awesomest Waaaaawwwhhhhhh sound and go back down to wherever it was they would go.

My sister and I have been trying to find info about it for the longest time.

    Thanks in advance

No idea. I was but a wee young lad.

it wasn't a "video game" per se because the screen consisted of little plastic ninjas on tracks would would run up cliffs and buildings.

but I think there were vide game images as well (unsure of this)

It was such a cool game. How great is it that you're fighting ninjas with a rifle? To hell with martial arts

          Are you talking about Shinobi?

Did Shinobi ever have an arcade machine with a rifle attached to shoot at plastic ninjas?

I don't think so, and searching for it would just bring up the actual shinobi.

I fear this will be lost forever in memory

Better late than never - Cheech at the sight of the Titanic docking in Ghostbusters 2

Thanks. You've come very close to hitting the nail on the head. It is exactly like one of those games. Mounted gun.. light up background.. little plastic pieces running about.. now we just need to find those pesky ninjas!

Thanks again! I'll have a look through that site.

Page brought up no ninja results.

I'd have to say the game was made during the 70's to early 80's due to it's "hi-tech" attributes and I was playing it in a Chuck E. Cheese somewhere between 84-86.

                  Who knows though.
