I have heard alot about this movie. I found it to actually live up to its hype. I've heard about it so much that I finally went and saw it this weekend and was actually pretty impressed. I wonder what a remake would be like.

You dont know them but they do!!

Great stuff! A remake is not? this movie is a true cinematic landmark that has stood the test of time and not broken.

I need to watch this film as I've heard so much about it. Remakes are usually pretty bad.

I've seen it three times as well as RKO 281 which is a movie (not a documentary) about the making of Citizen Kane. I find it enjoyable and it was innovative for it's time.

Not all remakes are bad, there has some good ones like "3:10 to Yuma", "The Departed", "The Thing", "The Blob", "Dawn of the Dead", "Hills Have Eyes", "Night of the Living Dead 1990", and "The Nutty Professor". Although "Batman Begins" and "Dark Knight" are NOT remakes, they are part of a reboot franchise to Batman without any connection to the previous Batman movies from the late 80's to 1997.

                        It is still awesome.

And NO remakes. This is a film that do not deserve a remake.

Oh yeah! Citizen Kane! I've seen the movie and I've read and heard about it! This is one of the greatest movies of all time. I've heard that Citizen Kane cause quite a stir at the time of its 1941 release, including the attempts to kick the film's ass by a ticked-off William Randolph Hearst. Not only Hearst was pissed off by the film, Kane also caused critical blood feuds that are still going on way too long. It even induced some critic called Pauline Kael to think that Welles and his co-screenwriter, Herman J. Mankenwickz took undeserved credit for their screenplay. Even the loss of Kane's mom was actually Orson Welles' but not Hearst's though. Orson Welles' mom died in 1924 when he was 8 or 9 years old and his dad followed in 1930 from drink. Though the movie's intially a box office flop, it did garner critical acclaim. I think that besides being one of the greatest films of all time, Kane has lived up to expectations.

Also, when should we expect Citizen Mandark?

I liked the part when the guy beat people to death with his cane and became a well respected citizen because the people he beat were pirates.

Citizen Kane is a great movie. I saw it just recently and I found to be enjoyable despite its age. It's way more enjoyable than some of the current films out now. So as for a remake, I say no way!
Recipe for nostalgia: Mix 80's and 90's culture. Stir in some good memories. Add a dash of reflection. Mixture should now taste bittersweet. Shake well and enjoy!

No. And I don't plan on it. Everything I've read about the film makes it sound like the most overrated piece of trash of all time. To me, The Empire Strikes Back is the best film of all time. To anyone who believes otherwise bring forth the films you deem worthy of the title of "Best Film In The Universe" and let me be the judge. I shall burn them and piss on the ashes.

BTW, "Rosebud" is a fucking sled...woohoo....

Empire Strikes Back is the best Star Wars film and to be honest, I can't think of a better Sci-Fi flick right now.
