    		 What is the point of meaningless genres? “Core” in that means music played really fast and really loudly, right, and it started with hardcore punk groups.

    Screamcore & Metalcore, and Thrashcore & Grindcore, two pairs of genres that sound exactly the same, and anyone who tries to prove otherwise has some serious problems.

    Emocore. Hardcore Emo music. FUCK BALLS I could have sworn the term Emo dealt solely with lyrical content. (About being stupid, and stuff) (Screamo is just emo with better band names.
    Hatecore?It’s just Hardcore Punk music with racist and homophobic lyrics.
    I just don't get the point behind "core"...Could somebody explain why meaningless genre exist???? I'm not trying to cause a hate war, I just want to hear other opinions.

      		 They're umbrella terms to describe the fusion genres that incorporate elements and influences of other rock/punk/metal sub-genres.

      Bands are not specifically and solely influenced by one style or genre. Especially in metal. So with all the hybrid styles came all new descriptions and "so-called" genres.

          I listen to grindcore and old school hardcore. Fuck the other core crap.
