Ah the memories. Anyone remember the song "Runaway Train"? I don't know who sang it. It made me cry, I guess us girls can get pretty sentimental.

Hmm.. I didn't listen to a lot of bands in the 90's because I was sort of young then.. but my dad and older siblings got me into these:

Green Day - Dookie (my favorite songs from that were Longview, Pulling Teeth, and Emenius Sleepus)

Cranberries - forget the albums, but I liked the songs Linger, Zombie, Dreams, and Ode to my Family.

Not a lot, but, those were some great songs and I still listen to them today.

Hmmm I thought this thread was "alternative" music. Sorry to sound like a snob, but half the bands here are the most boring, blandest music you can find.

All of the five piece emo bands of the time should be round up and shot. Emo is like dynamite, and should only be handled by people who know what they are doing, like Weezer.

Lessee; when I started grade 7 something weird happened. I went from listening to the likes of Paula Abdul, NKOTB, and Whitney Houston, to listening to Radiohead (this was 1992-93 and "Creep" had just come out) and The Sugarcubes (loved Bjork) Tori Amos, and Ani Difranco, Mazzy Star, The Flamming lips, and then the usual that everyone listened to: U2, Pearl Jam, Nirvana. But from there I was a loner; no Metallica, TLC or Mariah Carey for me. Actually "Creep" was kinda my anthem, my theme song.
