    		 Seems the Purple One struck a deal with a major record label again and Salma Hayek is producing his new video.

    Personally I think he jumped the shark with Raspberry Beret.

    But alas, it's an excuse to blog about the 80s.

          		 We used the Lake Minnetonka quote in our podcast, but it's not funny in just audio. For some reason, pulling quotes from Purple Rain is hard work. There's either a word you have to bleep every two seconds, or there's a 5 second pause between lines of dialog.

          But the music is timeless. No question. And Morris Day is lecherous. Nice work!

                		 I dressed like Prince circa '79 at my last gig. I've got the same hair cut, and I wore a peach blouse and some tight gold pants. I couldn't find any decent footwear though, so for our next show I'm gonna go down to my friends costume store and get some white boots. I'm also gonna swap the blouse for a Dirty Mind era trenchcoat. I won't go as far as the black undies though. :wink:
