mikee_kid12 8 years 11 months ago Posts: 640	I love all of these movies; the tradition of the style of humor is awsome. My favorites are Hot Shots! and Scary Movie 3. I think Scary Movie has earned its own exclamation point, but then the dreadful second one came out that one sucked!!!!! Then the third came out and was even directed by David Zucker. And above everything else, it had Charlie Sheen in it, the franchise definetly deserves an exclamation point of its own now. Scary Movie 4 is currently being filmed for a 2006 release and David Zucker has returned again! And another new exclamation point movie from David Zucker (Superhero!) is due out in 2006 as well. Lloyd Bridges was a god the "!" movies. I miss him, and I hope Leslie Neilson will be in the Superhero! movie. The tradition lives on!

DON'T MISTAKE IT OR ELSE DAMN ME TO A POOL OF VOMIT AFTER I GO DOWN A RAZORBLADE WATERSLIDE AND SLICE UP MY BACK!) I liked these types of movies. Can't beat airplane. Wrongfully Accused was a high one in my book.

nippythefish 8 years 11 months ago Posts: 2713 Globally Banned	Had to roll with Top Secret! on this one...tough decision though. Airplane! is way up there, followed closely by Baseketball and Mafia.

mikee_kid12 8 years 11 months ago Posts: 640	Yeah, Mel Brooks films are something that should be recognized as well, they are just as funny if not better. I also loved Wrongfully Accused and Top Secret!, I had it listed but the poll exceded its limit. There are a lot of other movies like this, I can go on and on, but will leave that to you guys. A Shot in the Dark and The Pink Panther also deserve some recognition before the, what appears to be, horrible remake of the Pink Panther comes out. Peter Sellers is probably digging himslef out of his grave and haeding out to kill Steve Martin.

I like all of these movies, but I have to admit "Hanyman" in Scary Movie 2 made me sick to my stomach!

mikee_kid12 8 years 11 months ago Posts: 640	I try and pretend Scary Movie 2 never happened. I've only seen it once, and don't really recall "Hanyman", no bother though, the movie sucked and kind of put the tradition to shame, thank god Zucker directed 3.

mikee_kid12 8 years 11 months ago Posts: 640	Can't agree with you more, the reason for its failure is because it spoofed horror films that they thought would become classics, had they waited they would've found better films to spoof. They also tried to hard to be like the first movie. UPDATE: I was looking for Michael Winslow's standup routine online, I wanted a good laugh(the man has serious talent) and came across news about a remake of Police Academy, but I wasn't upset about it, because Michael Winslow and Steve Guttenburg are in it! Along with other original cast acors from the original.

It was a tough choice but I think I'm going to have to go with Top Secret, for the win. That movie has me bustin' up every single time. When that German gets knocked of the building and shatters like a porcelin doll make me laugh into tears every time.

Where's that movies I regret paying for thread? mafia! is on the list because its the last "!" movie Llyod Bridges ever did, and yes it sucks, but it has its funny parts. The probelem with mafia! is that it tried to hard to be an "!" movie, and Bridges was just to old and tired and it downed the movie a bit. And it is an intradtion of "!" movie, so.....

The thing that really bothered me about that movie was that all the funny parts were ruined by the commericals for it. I guess I may have to watch it again and see if it can redeem itself but I remember watching it in the theater and knowing exactly when the funny part was coming.
