A pleasant suprised! i saw this three times in theaters and it's Dreamworks's greatest CGI triumph since the first two "Shrek" movies or "Over The Edge", it was better then the letdowns like "Bee Movie", "Shrek 3", "Shark Tale" etc. but this had good storyline, great action and incredible animation including traditional animation to go along with it.

I was wondering how Disney doesn't seem to be making hand drawn animated movies anymore, except the ones that are straight to video. I like CGI cartoons but there's still room for good old fashioned hand drawn ones too.

Disney did not make this, it's Dreamworks! and this movie is very original and doesn't rip-off Pixar for it's a very original story and doesn't use pop culture references which is a good point.

Well, those are actually animated via digital ink and paint rather than traditional ink and paint, in which the animator's drawings are scanned and colored on a computer rather than transferred onto cels. Princess Mononoke was the last major feature film to use I&P, and the last major piece of animation ever was Ed Edd n Eddy.
