    Hey fellow Retro-Junkies,

Let me start off by saying the following post has nothing to with anything retro. So, if you clicked this expecting Care Bears lunchboxes and Ninja Turtle cereal (not that there is anything wrong with that) you will be disappointed. Go watch the Heathcliff intro, because, for Christ's sake, it is catchy....

Anyways, I just wanted to make a suggestion to all my anime watchers and manga readers out there. There is a series that has been out for about a year to 2 years called Azu mangadaioh that I think is really worth
    a look

Now most anime use people shooting lightning out of their hands, chicks with blue hair and tits like watermelons, or martial artists that can jump seven stories high to snag the viewer and grab their attention. Azumanga Daioh instead focuses on the mudane process of Japanese high school as seen through the eyes of six drastically different female students. Instead of relying on fights or fan-service to push the story along AZMD relys on wacky comedy instead.

The series, whether read in the manga or watched in the anime, is wonderful and full of laugh out loud comedy and touching moments.
Look, I'm no MO (I'm shipping off to the Army in january and I love Japanese death match wrestling), but I'm secure enough in my manhood
that I can say that this silly little cartoon about six japanese girls has given me a smile that's lasted all day.

Check it out, you might just like it.........

I want to see it so bad. I have a preview for it in my Panyo Panyo DiGi Charat DVD. It looks good. I always hear people ranting and raving about it.

Read the manga. Cute. Nothing spectacular. To me it fell in the category of "anime for the sake of anime." Does it ever like.... go anywhere? At all?

It doesn't really go anywhere except them graduating,

It kinda one of those short one seaon anime deals like:

          Hand Maid May
          Trouble Chocolate
          Negima

I agree there is not a ton of character development, but I certainly enjoyed the ride

That series is hilarious. I haven't watched all of the anime, but I have read all of its manga. My favorite characters are Osaka and Yohmi out of the girls. I love Osaka's randomness and Yomi's dry-witted humor and sarcasm. To this day, I still wonder how Yomi puts up with Tomo.

I love the anime, it's so cool. But I thought the manga was real crap.
