    		 Another word for 'bull shit' or a tasty meal? I tried it at a Cantonese restaurant last friday as part of a yum-cha lunch and spat it out quick smart.



    Has anyone here sampled this dish and enjoyed it?

      		 It doesn't even look delicious. What the hell is it? I'd probably be even afraid to smell it.

        		 It's made out of the first three chambers of a cow's stomach and marinated in some sort of Chinese herbs and spices or something. The flavour is acceptable but the texture is just disgusting. Chewing it doesn't seem to break it down at all.

              		 I have had bits of tripe in a hot pot at a pho restaurant and it wasn't great. It had a bad texture (think the rubbery and pebbly texture of the skin of a football) and no taste.

                		 My grandfather used to eat it and I tried some when I was younger. He used to fry it. I HATED it. One of the very few things I will never try again.

                    Yeah, fying works for most anything, but I can't do tripe. It's about as edible as a fried dog turd.
