This goes out for those interested in Disney. Hey guys, guess what I found at Goodwill last night? I think it is a Widescreen VHS videotape copy of Walt Disney's Sleeping Beauty, his 1959 materpiece made in Super Technirama 70mm format:

This is the front cover art, which is also copied for the deluxe THX certified widescreen laserdisc box set.

Now here's the spine, in front my trusty old computer:

    Here's the back cover art:

Here's the actual VHS tape itself:

    The content is as follows:
    1. FBI warning green screen.
    2. 1993 or 1992 Walt Disney Home Video logo
    3. A Stay tuned after the feature bumper
    4. the Walt Disney Masterpiece Collection logo
    5. Read: Lucasfilm THX Broadway Logo!
    6. 1990 Walt Disney Pictures logo in 2.35:1 scope
    7. The Feature presentation in a 2.35:1 aspect ratio
    8. Once Upon A Dream: The Making of Sleeping Beauty documentary
    9. the Original Theatrical Trailer for Sleeping Beauty
    10. and, last but not least, a rare dance sequence featuring the model for Sleeping Beauty, Helene Stanley as aired on the Mickey Mouse Club way back in 1956.

and don't forget a special comemmorative booklet:

And oh! The Deluxe THX Certified Widescreen Laserdisc box set of Sleeping Beauty (I didn't own laserdiscs, sorry!) have mo' mojo than befo' (To quote from Mo' Mojo Jojo from the Powerpuff Girls Movie) with 117 minutes of bonus materials features the movie in widescreen and in Dolby Digital 5.1 surround sound. The same goes to a half hour movie that originally preceded Sleeping Beauty on its intial 1959 release, Grand Canyon (which earns a 1959 Oscar for Best Live Action Short). The Laserdisc box set also includes "The Peter Tchaikovsky Story" which also accompanied Sleeping Beauty in theatres way back in 1959.

Too Bad VHS and Laserdisc is both outnumbered by both DVD and Blu-Ray Disc. But anyway, Enjoy this Goodwill find from last night.

Well, this has nothing to do with Dexter's Lab. I'm just telling you about an interesting Goodwill find from last night. That's all. I usually shop at the Goodwill Super Store near the Old Mill McDonalds in Millersville, Maryland. And last night, Friday, October 24, 2008, I've got a Widescreen VHS video tape like Disney's Sleeping Beauty. I love Widescreen, as well as THX certification, and I am sure a THX certification fanatic as well as a widescreen fanatic. Repeat after me, I am just telling you about an interesting Goodwill find from last night. That's all.
