One of my favorite bands, my favorite albums are Too dark park and Rabies. I've seen them live and have to say, wow!" It was intense music with what appeared to be faces of death shit and other weird stuff in the background. The newer stuff is good but it sounds more like ohgr's solo stuff. Any other puppy fans here?

I don't really like them. I don't care too much for industrial. The closest stuff to industrial that i like is dark ambient like:

        Lotus Eaters
        Sleep Research Facility
        Rasion D' Etre
        Tim Heckler

Seeing them live i wouldn't mind though. That would be totally different than just listening to an album of theirs.

My favorite song by them. They use a lot of horror movie clips here.

The only song I know by them is "All the same", with the "Free Hugs" video, I like it a lot.

I've got a few of their albums, although I sort of find them hard to listen to...like Mr. Bungle. They had the talent to make good music, but instead settle for irritating noises.

Yeah, some people can't get into it, but for you i'd recommend a band named "front line assembly". It's Bill leebs formerly of skinny puppy. He is also known for his other side project Delerium.

Mr. Bungle is awesome live. Lol

I don't really like them either, but live it was funny as shit and entertaining.

I'll check out your recommendation. My musical tastes are quite wide and I switch genres on a whim...lately I've been listening to a lot of Glitch Mob, especially edIT.

I love Skinny Puppy! You can't have a Skinny Puppy thread and mention side projects without mentioning Tear Garden. It's The Legendary Pink Dots with cEvin Key and Dave Ogilvie from Skinny Puppy. I still listen to and love Skinny Puppy from time to time but I've graduated into a full-fledged Pink Dots fan. Their music and lyrics are so much more engaging, challenging and even humorous at times! If you haven't listened to The Dots or Tear Garden, do yourself a favor and check them out! Everyone I know that is into The Dots/Tear Garden adores Skinny Puppy also. I'm just adding that for frame of reference. Anyhoo, I'm going to see LPD this Saturday night and I'm all excited! They just released a new album this month called Plutonium Blonde and you can hear the track Faded Photograph on their MySpace page.
