    Who was better?

Who would have won in a fight?

I personally preferred Mr. Dressup to Mr. Rogers when I was little. Mr. Dressup was just so...cool and his show I thought was more entertaining. I met him a few times when I was little and he was just as nice in person as he was on TV. I also have a little strange tradition, when I write exams I sing the Mr. Dressup tune in my head to calm myself down and put me in a good mood.

As for who would win in a fight, its hard to say. I will forever remember these two men as being really old.

Mr. Dressup! I mean, come on- he had that Tickle Trunk! I remember how I always used to think he could draw so well with that little black crayon of his, but looking back I guess he wasn't so great.

yeah, I haven't ever heard of Mr. Dressup. Now I am intrigued! As for the fight, I would rather see Cookie Monster and Grover go berserk and tear Elmo limb from limb.

I don't know about Teletubbies, they're pretty #%$*d up, but I'd say the biggest mind blower out there would be Boobah. Anyone out there see it? THAT'S some LSD at work on the fine youth of today.

So did he rip Mr. Rogers off or did Mr. Rogers rip him off?

                              I would say neither.

Mr. Rogers and Mr. Dressup were friends. From 1962-1964 Mr. Rogers had his own show which Mr. Dressup would do puppeteering and voices on. This show was produced by the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC). After that show ended, Mr. Dressup and Mr. Rogers used to do a show together called "Butternut Square" that aired from 1964-1967 also produced by the CBC. Butternut Square was the brainchild of Mr. Dressup.

After that show ended, Mr. Dressup spun-off to do his show and took some of the puppets (Casey and Finnegan) with him. His show started in 1967 and was produced by the CBC.

Mr. Rogers went off to do his show but it didn't air until 1968. And, his show was produced by Family Communications Inc. and WQED Pittsburgh in the States.

So essentially, Canada had Mr. Dressup and the States had Mr. Rogers.

So, Mr. Rogers had his show first, but I still regret to see any "ripping off" between either of them seeing as they worked together for years and had their own ideas for kids shows.

Mr. Dressup, and I mean hands-down.
Though, Fred Penner and Mr. Rogers both kick ass.
All three of these amazing men would destroy any of those lame-o, piece of junk kid shows they puke out these days.

He may have not had a wardrobe full of cardigans but he did have a tickle trunk which I think is a lot cooler than a bunch of sweaters.
