I recommend you remove iTunes and iPod software, as they receive a 7.8 on the nippy suck-o-meter. Oh, and are you running a game server of some sort??? I'd look up Grisoft but I'm being lazy. Vodka and past 11 p.m. :|

My AVI software is by Grisoft and I have a 60GB video ipod so I need itunes and quicktime. Before I bought my ipod i used quicktime alternative.
And now for something completely different................

Unless you leave your iPod hooked to your computer all the time, shouldn't there be times where you can turn off at least the service(s) and/or programs ? I dunno the service name for the ipods, but to stop it should be something like net stop ipodservice at a cmd prompt.

You can delete any instance of iPod software from the 'startup' folder in 'All Programs' and uncheck iTunes/iPod crap in msconfig (XP only, 2000 doesn't have it for some reason. :? ).
