Who remembers the British multi-racial pop group, the appropriately-named Culture Club?
It consisted of Boy George (real name: George O'Dowd) (vocals), Roy Hay (guitar, keys), Mikey Craig (bass guitar) and Jon Moss (drums). The Culture Club gained attention for its singer, Boy George, dressing in drag a la Carmen Miranda and Liz Taylor (and fellow Brit David Bowie from his early '70s "Ziggy Stardust" phase).
Their lone U.S. #1 hit was "Karma Chameleon" which secured the top spot for three weeks in early 1984.
But... a curious question springs in my mind: did any female fans of CC ever dress up like Boy?
