Hey, I need a new watch anyway, so I'm looking into getting one like Marty's. I found this auction that has the same model, but is very expensive:

Marty McFly Casio Watch from Back to the Future BTTF

It never specified the actual model of the watch, so I looked it up, then searched eBay. And I found this...

Casio Classic Calculator Watch CA-53W New Low Shipping

So, wait, are these the exact same watch, just one of the auctions doesn't have the Back to the Future stuff plastered in it? Is there any difference? Is the first from 1985 while the second's a reproduced one? Because that's one hell of a price difference! Please help me, I really want the same watch Marty has, but I'd just like to know if there's any reason to get the first one over the second.

Have you read the whole page. The page with the first watch says and I quote"Note: This is not, of course, the actual watch as worn my MJ Fox himself in the movie. If it was (and how could that be verified?) I think the price may be rather like 20 times what's being asked here"

I know it's not Michael J. Fox's, I'm simply talking about the model...

Both appear to be the exact same model watch to me.

Well, I got a CA-53W at Wal*Mart today, which is a re-release of the model Marty used in Parts II and III. It's awesome, haven't had it for a whole day yet and it's still the best watch I've ever worn. It was set to June 3rd, 1980 when I got it.

What's really weird is after I bought the watch, we went to eat at a pizza place, and when we got in they were playing Power of Love by Huey Lewis and the News!

I remember calculator watches were pretty popular and common during the time frame of Back to the Future. Not sure if there was actually any correlation between the popularity of the two, but I remember both being quite popular. I remember you could even get calculator watches with a built in video game that you could play, which seemed pretty high tech at the time.

I remember the calculator watches and the videogame watches and the radio watches and even a watch that transformed, but I don't remember them being together.

I dressed up as Marty yesterday, and obviously used that watch as part of my costume. :D

Funny how yesterday I'm dressed up as a character played by Michael J. Fox, and today I'm in a plain blue shirt with blood stains all over it.
