I have one, but haven't bothered putting anything retro on it. I've heard you can have emulators on it, and I'm tempted to figure out how to get an NES emulator running.

Still, I bought it to play high quality handheld games, and while I haven't bought many (not due to lack of money, but due to lack of games I genuinely want), the ones I have were worth it (the PSP GTA is awesome).

I gotta find somebody with one, so I can buy Jake the Snake in Smackdown vs. Raw 2006.

Well the stuff I have on my psp thats retro now is an episode of (classic) TMNT, gameboy, nes, snes, genesis, gamegear, and master system. I hope they can run the TMNT arcade game on it soon.

If you bought your psp recently, good chance you have the firmware 2.0, downgrade this before you try anything. I used to have a downgrader, but iirc it got lost when I formatted :(

Be warned that if you choose to downgrade it, you risk bricking your psp.

              try these sites: www.pspupdate.comwww.psphacker.com

I havent tried the downgraders I have kept an eye on it though. Though I have the 1.5 firmware, so I havent upgraded. The whole bricking thing is of concern when trying new things that requires flashing the system.

Not very retro, but I just bought Family Guy Seasons 1-2 for mine.

IMO, your double-posting is stupid and annoying.

                        I don't own a PSP myself, but since I'm getting a job soon, I'm hoping this'll change

but then again ever since that time I brought my laptop to this dance I couldn't be assed out of getting out of, it feels like I've been getting out of portables, ect, somehow like I've lost all my motivation to be in them any longer.

I own a PSP, then downgraded it to 1.5 for a bit to stick on some Emus. It worked rather well,

                            iirc I heard of a 2.6 firmware.

Dunno how true this is, since I'm planning on buying a PSP.

I don't own one yet. Maybe in a year or two after the price comes down a bit. Then I might get one.

i had a psp, it was great for emulators. but you get fed up of "retro games" pretty fast.

the nes games work great but 16 bit and higher games had lag and some were really unplayable like mortal kombat and starfox.

I own a PSP and have some great retro games for it. I don't have any emulators, but I've bought all the retro games collections they've released so far.

I have the Namco collection which has Pac Man, Galaga, Dig Dug II, Mrs Pac Man, Xevious, and a bunch more.

I just recently got the Midway collection which has Spy Hunter, Defender, Paperboy, Marble Madness, Rampage, Mortal Kombat 1-3, and a lot more.

I also recently got Pinball Hall of Fame which is one of the best pinball games I've ever owned.

Personaly, this is why I bought the PSP. For old school retro games. BTW there's a couple of MegaMan games coming out for the PSP this month. Both of them are side scrollers and I believe one of them is the original games with updated graphics. Awesome.

Everything the PSP can do, I already have devices for so I don't really need something that's going to perform worse than what I already have. My Nintendo DS and Dell Axim are the only handhelds I need :).
I watch the videos from this site on my Axim very often. God bless the download button on the video pages!
