That scary time of the year is almost here, I have started to collect some movies to watch this year here are my top five I'll be watching toward the end of next month.

    Mel Brooks "Young Frankenstein"
    Monster Squad
    The Three Stooges Spookey Collection
    Gremlins
Abbott and Costello meet the wolfman

Do you have any suggestions for scary movies that are kid friendly?

Agreed, Disney put out some good Halloween cartoons.

When I was a kid, there was this show that would come on every Halloween called "The Halloween That Almost Wasn't." It was soooo cute and fun to watch. If there is a way you can find a copy of this show, I think your kids would really like it. Also, "The Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown" is pretty cool. I watched that one a lot too.

Not exactly Halloween-y, but I figure any movie with monsters or ghosts fits the bill here:

          Monsters, Inc.
          Ghostbusters I & II
          Monster House
the Mel Brooks movie from before is Dracula: Dead and Loving It
          The Addams Family
          Beetlejuice
          Nightmare Before Christmas/Corpse Bride
          The Mummy movies

The People Under the Stairs and The Thing.

I really don't find all the gory slasher flicks scary; just kinda lame and gross. I'm probably alone one that though.
