I was very disappointed when LucasArts canceled their new Full Throttle and Sam & Max games. I was actually *considering* purchasing an Xbox just for the opportunity to play these, but then they were both canceled... in favor of yet another Starwars game.

I really miss the old point n click adventure games. I'm still crossing my fingers hoping that Lucasarts or Sierra will come around and at least port some of the old classics to the Nintendo DS, or even better, come out with some new titles.

Sam and Max still has a chance of coming out, it was bought up by another publisher or something

The only thing that truly disappointed me was the original Resident Evil 2. Now being called Resident Evil 1.5, it looked much cooler than RE2 and was even supposed to have the whole partner system.

Not saying that I don't like RE2, it's just that I would have liked to see 1.5 in its place.

Plus, Marvin probably wouldn't have died in 1.5, and he was cool.

The main thing is that the majority of realy anticipated RPGs is that they have a tendancy to never leave japan.
The only other thing that I thought was a good idea, was the original concept for perfect dark on the N64.
You could plug your gameboy camera in via you transfer pak and take a photo of yourself and your friends and eventualy put your photos in the game. this would allow you to kill your friends in multiplayer mode, though as America disapproved of the idea, it never made british shores either.

well for game boy advance and not until 2006 but wow. and apparently a game cube version of mother 3 is still supposed to be making some headway! we'll see!

Itoi's new 1101 M3 website

Basically, he says: "It [Mother 3] will go on sale on April 20th, in about two months. Starting tomorrow, on this page, we will gradually be providing Mother 3 info. How do you do?"

Okay, so that last part doesn't really fit. All I know is that it says "douzo yoroshiku onegai shimasu" which is a very polite way of asking a person's well-being. That being the case, what a nice man that Shigesato Itoi is.

Lastly, since this page showed up yesterday (February 6th) and if my translation works, it shall be tomorrow, February 7th that the world's eyes shall be opened unto Mother 3!!

FULL SOUND FILE (Could be "the next 8 Melodies";)

True Fantasy Live Online

I know the title is convoluted and a bit redundant but I was so looking forward to it.

I miss when they cancelled making the CD-rom for N64. I think they were competing with PSone.

Nah, nintendo and sony at first were going to make a CD Add-on for SNES.. It was going to addon to several games (sort of like 64DD.) iirc Secret of Mana is the only one I can think of.

Then nintendo and sony had a hissy-fit and Sony left and went on to make the playstation.

Yes, I'm also dissappointed at no 64DD. Heck it made most n64 games suck (due to internal limitations of cartridges.) You could use (at the most) a 512megabit silicon wafer on an N64.

Nowadays, with the gamecube, and addons for it, Nintendo is doing things they should've been doing a long time ago (merely, taking advantage of the expansion port at the bottom of the consoles.)

Sonic Xtreme for the Saturn. It could have actually given the Saturn a fighting chance against the PS1.

While this game was never officially announced here, I'm disappointed that Namco X Capcom will never see US shores. It's too bad that the game was published by Namco. If it were Capcom, the chances would be much better.

I dont remember exactly. I just saw a picture that looked like a base that went under the existing N64. I looked under my N64 and there is a port there which looked like something would connect to it. I dont know if anyone here knew what that was for.

The only extension for the N64 that I knew of was codenamed 64DD (64 Disk Drive)

This was back in the day when they refered to the n64 as the "Nintendo Ultra 64" just before it was released.

There was supposed to be a Zelda game on it, so if it was released, I'd be quite interested.
