    		 Who remembers the French opera "Carmen" composed by Georges Bizet (1838-1875)?

    One of these pieces, "Carmen Overture" appeared as the title theme to the TV version of The Bad News Bears (1979-80).

    The opera's other media subjects included the last Gene Deitch-helmed Tom & Jerry cartoon "Carmen Get It!" - a play on the common phrase "come and get it." Other songs in the opera, set in Spain, were "Toreador" and "Habanera" among others.
