    		 We got free tickets to watch a movie and we decided to watch Clone Wars, not much to say about it really, it felt like a 'seen that before' type of movie and I don't just mean 'seen that in Star Wars' (that too actually). It was nice seeing another Star Wars film and though I wasn't ecstatic I was still entertained. But I wanted something fresh in terms of story, kids would definitely enjoy it though, and If you're a Star Wars fan you might just buy it and place next to your other Star Wars DVDs.

    Anyone else seen it or plan to?

      		 I just saw it a few hours ago. Pretty good, but even more childish than I had originally expected, and I didn't like how there were only like two or three remixes (all playing only once except the main theme) and the rest was original music. I listened to the soundtracks for all of the movies in ninth grade so I should know.

        Thinking back on it, yea, the music wasn't as epic as the six episodes. The soundtracks to the originals were nice, most of John Williams music is good though.

          		 I was surprised though, I swore at the beginning I heard a motif of the Cloud City theme, which is a pretty obscure one. I also loved all the lines in reference to the other films, especially with the "double our efforts" "for your sake" thing. That exchange really stuck with me in Return of the Jedi, though I doubt many other people noticed (save for other SW nerds, or former ones like moi).

            		 I saw it last Thursday and really enjoyed it. It was a fun movie like the original Transformers animated movie from the 80s. There was NO ONE in the theatre on the opening screening here - I was really expecting to see at least some nerds dressed up as jedi or something.

            It's had some shocking reviews though, but then again The Dark Knight has had great reviews and I just don't get that at all.

            I'll buy Clone Wars when it comes to DVD.

              		 Yeah, our theater was pretty much empty (although due to the long car ride we had coming home we didn't get to see the midnight showing), which surprised me as well, especially considering there were absolutely no kids there. The guy a few seats down to me kept breathing in and out of his nose really loud though, which more than made up for the lack of people (and it was on the best row in the theaters so I wasn't moving). That girl really annoyed me though, especially when she said "Skyguy." I'm guessing from the reviews that this isn't going to make it into a full-fledged series as intended.

              I also fully agree that the Dark Knight is overrated.

                Yeah, there was some bad dialogue, but I've come to expect that from Star Wars movies. I think overall it was a cool movie though. I liked the Clone troopers - kind of brought back memories from the original trilogy where the Rebels felt like a team.

                I thought Ziro the Hutt speaking was a bad idea, but it's a kids movie and they didn't want to use subtitles I guess.

                        		 I was curious about the continuation of Clone Wars as a televised series, it looks like after the movie some time at the end of this year they're going to have a 30 minute show aired every week on cartoon network and that they have already finished and produced over 30 episodes with more coming.

                        As a movie they were cool but I think as a t.v. show they would be great. There were about a dozen people at the theater when I saw it, I hope that's not an indication that they will cancel the show.

                          		 That movie is a steaming pile of turds, I'm guessing the tv show will be more of the same. As much as I love Star Wars, just let it die an honorable death already.

You're just too much of a Batfanboy that you're one of those who worships the Dark Knight like the Star Wars of our generation, but want to justify the fact you incredibly go nuts over the movie by insisting that some guy on an internet forum is wrong about his opinion of it being overrated.

                                  It's a good movie, no doubt. Just not nearly as great as everybody was making it out to be.
