      I want an HDTV.

Hell I need a new TV, for one I think the sound chip (or something) is going wonky, maybe shorting out or something...

But they're so expensive atm. Hell, this one I found at Wal*Mart, costed a little more than what I paid for my desktop computer two years ago.

Not to mention I need a flatscreen, it's almost impossible to get anything big up my narrow stairwell, looks like it's time to redesign houses

I'd like an HD TV, but even when they're on sale, they're way too expensive for me. I'll just stick to my nice 29" CRT TV.

When I can get a 32+ inch HDTV for under $500, then I'll get one.
There is nothing short of a house, car, or state of the art computer that I'm going to pay 4 digits for.

I have a 60 inch RCA HDTV. Got it a few months ago and love it. We only have a few HD channels such as ABC, TNT, WGBH (PBS) and a few others. Can't wait until some of the cartoons channels are transfered! Well, atleast by 2009 it will be law that all channels multi broadcast in high defination.

digital television is suppose to be the only broadcast signal in 2009 and the tv companies have to provide an analog to digital converter for those of us who dont have the un-fathomable wealth required to buy an HDTV

My parents have an HD TV (a Dell?) Pretty awesome. But the amount of HD channels right now really isn't worth the price of HD cable and they don't make too many DVDs with HD formatting or quality. Hopefully it will be worth it in the near future.

I hear in 2008 The Only Broadcast will be high defination so The Old Television you have at home will not right right or something But it a law that you have to buy a high defination Tv It Worth it.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: iirc you CAN buy a converter to make our analog sets work in the FUTUAR. Not to mention you can still play , VCR's, and DVD's with 50+ year old technology :)

Sunriser: iirc 99.99% of TV shows, when filmed, are made using 16:9 ratio, which is the ratio for HD.
