    		 I'm thinking about cartooning in the future, and things aren't going too well, but going good at the same time.

    The series is called Jobi the Neon Alien. I'm working with Flash to make short cartoons. Will anyone be kind enough to watch and review my cartoons?

      		 I'm aslo a cartoonist (3D Animator/Artsist). I attended the Ottawa International Animation Festival (Television Conference) last year. I learned a lot of information.

      1. In order to have your animation on any network you have to meet with
      a Creative Executive and have a pitch session. This your opportunity to
      sell your idea to a company.

      2. Call any network and ask to speak to the Creative Executive. It's their
      job find new ideas and produce them for air.

      3. A lot of Executives don't like cartoons they like money. They are willing
      to spend a lot of money on your idea if they believe a profit can be
      made. Televison Shows are not on tv because people like to watch
      them. TV shows are shown to get a specific audience to watch the
      commercials.

      4. Make sure your idea is appropriate for the network you are pitching to.

      5. You don't have to wait for one of these picky executives to tell you
      that you are good enough to have a show. Put your cartoons on dvd and
      sell the dvd's on ebay. Put your characters on t-shirts and sell the t-
      shirts. There's no right or wrong way to get into the animation industry.

      6. I'm a motion graphics animator for a third rate news station. My advice
      might not be worth anything. I'm not a know it all.

      7. Go to as many animation festivals as you can.

      YOU ARE GOOD ENOUGH TO HAVE YOUR OWN SHOW. DON'T GIVE UP. KEEP AT IT.

        		 The same goes for filmmaking, get out there and film. Get a couple books, film a few ideas, and then write something simple. I'm learning alot of lighting, sound, and camera techniques and consider myself a decent writer so hopefully my friend and I will have a decent indie film by the end of the year.

            Nudity was probably one of the reasons why I wasn't allowed to watch the Simpsons when I was youger. I don't want parents to prevent kids from watching my cartoons, I want it to be a family show, those parents can eat my shorts!

                            		 That picture of Wengren isn't showing. There was a chance to enter an animation festival for Nickelodeon, but I want my cartoons to be on Fox, so I didn't really want to enter that.

                                		 lol appears I'm in the same boat as you guys :D, I want to become a cartoonist, next september I'm taking a media arts course in college, since childhood, I drew comicbooks trying to make up original characters, I have now centered on drawing in the style of anime for 6 years now, I have used windows movie maker to experiment on frame by frame animation, and I have also worked on flash in my media arts classes in high school, I'm wondering what the industry of today is looking for in their ideal shows nowadays?

                                      Sammy does do some great work, I really liked his movie.
