American Idol boasts the same stale Pop singers year after year. Bo Bice was good, but not good enough to win over a POP singer lol...you know what would make me grease my scundies in ecstasy? If American Idol fielded a fuckin' Punk Rock singer--that'd be pretty boss! As for this song, erm... well...I got nothing, absolutely nothing...what's there to say? sigh throws hands around in a defeatist manner

This song was an example of Katie Perry trying to get a free hit single by raising a few eyebrows like so- . The end result, once the studio got done with her voice, makes Katie sound like a girl-who-sounds-like-a-robot-who-sounds-like-a-girl . I don't know which is worse to imagine: girls kissing up on girls or machines-who-sound-like-girls demanding artificial assimilation? Either way, the result is a pretty terrible song that should see its six or so months of random air play because it's "new" and "popular" and never see that light of day again once its six month grace period is over. I have to agree that as she honks out the lyrics "hope my boyfriend don't mind it," it does become another "cheating" song and, in a perfect world, cheating would no longer happen either.

I hadn't seen that I Kissed a Girl video till now, I'd heard this was a song that was out. I thought maybe it was a cover of Jill Soulbe's funny and charming song of the same name from the 90's, but nope, it's another factory made processed with pro tools and pitch corrector piece of shit. However, Kathy Perry is hot, she looks kind of like Reese Witherspoon.
