How much are the fees to sell? Do you make a lot? Or do you at least break even?

    Is it worth it?

Let me know as I am thinking of selling on eBay :)

    Thanks All :)

          http://pages.ebay.com/help/sell/fees.html
          COMPLETE LIST.

and just so u know, USPS is a good shipping center. you'll have to pay for the ship out but the buyer will pay u back.

as for the fees, well, u can also have them charge u everytime u make an auction or you can have them charge u the total at the end of the month for all sales uve made

i do. another tip. start bidding at like $0.01, and maybe throw in a "buy it now" price. also its good to look at the other auctions for the same item so u can see how much it may be worth. as for shipping, make it around the price u shipped it for. maybe take, leave or add a few cents.

I've been selling on ebay for a couple of years now. You should set up Paypal before you do anything else. Make sure you mark you listings to require a paypal account, that avoids a lot of problems. Make sure that when you describe your item you list any little imperfection that might matter to someone else, and be sure to include a time limit that they must pay you by (or you will relist the item).Downloading a tool from the free listing tools is a big help too.

You can buy a new scale to weigh your items at home for cheap (on ebay )and then you wont have to guess shipping cost. You can then print the shipping label off your printer and have the post office pick it up from your house. The post office will also supply you with various sized boxes for free if you use priority mail (which most people perfer anyway).

The listing(ebay fees for selling are listed on ebay under sell now) and are based on how much you start you item for and how fancy you want your listing to look. Finishing, final price percentage is given to ebay based on final item sale price. Paypal also charges a small fee based on a percentage of how much your item sells for (including shipping cost).

Some people get mad if you don't use a new box to ship, and make sure you state that you don't accept returns, or that if you do, that they are responsible for shipping the return and that they will only get back the item cost, not the shipping cost.

It can be worth it, if you put the time into it, but usually it is just a little more than breaking even. That is unless you have a really unique item.

If you have any more questions, feel free to pm me. This post is already accessivly long. :)

Hi! I've been an reliable & trusted eBay seller since 2002. It really depends on what your selling, the condition, rarity, Ect. But mostly yeah you can do very well on eBay. I have seen some retro toys & stuff go for hundreds of dollars.

For shipping you can package everything and bring the box to get weighted at USPS or UPS Store. Then on your eBay auction you can you set shipping by the location and weight of box. That way shipping will be only the amount needed to ship to that location. People interested will type in there zip code and it will tell them how much that will cost them.

Remember to be very carefully as Banks have been seeing more fake checks, cashier checks, money orders, Etc. I personal think pay pal easier! Also a persons feedback is important to look at as some people like to play people by buying and not paying. Which brings me to the point of never ship tell money has cleared. I hope this has helped:) Kallie
