senseimike 9 years 12 days ago Posts: 185	I'm torn on this one.... I like the old one because of the great memories watching it as a child... well..and adult. I also like the new one because technology has come so far that they were able to do so much more with it. The new one is a bit closer to the book too, and it had trained squirrels..nothing is cooler than trained squirrels. System 9 years 12 days ago Posts: 74809	i think the songs in general help to make the old version the masterpiece that it is. i wish they would have followed a little closer to the original but actors dont sing anymore for the most part, i also wasnt really that impressed with the willy wonka character...gene wilder did an excellent job of making him crazy..i perfer crazy over retarded

I reakon the oompa lumpas sucked in the new one though, they wernt even orange!! that kinda was a put down and made me a lil upset over the whole one person oompa lumpa issue, they wernt even real midgets.

System 9 years 10 days ago Posts: 74809	technology is the only good thing about the new movie.. the dialogue is severly lacking...willy wonka is a moron in it and the oompa loompas were a smack in the face i mean how lazy do you have to be to only use one guy for all of them..LAME...it was eye candy for sure but no depth to it at all
