    Wayyy better then i excpected! when i first saw the poster last year with the chipmunks looking quasi-CGI and wearing hip hop threads i thought "Oh man you gotta be kiddin' me". Then when i saw the trailer i was like "Man this is gonna blow big time", then later after christmas when it reached number 2 at the box-office and the reviews were decent i decided to check it out. I thought it was a nice cute suprise that's quite original and funny too, it was faithful to the classic cartoon of the 60's that actually started it all.

    The CGI was quite good making the chipmunks look realistic and believable, the acting is good and Dave's girlfriend was smoking hot. It was better then what the misleading trailer and poster would have made me believe.

      		 Yeah, the movie wasn't that bad. The only thing I didn't like was how the chipmunks got to Dave's house -- too complicated. Also, as much as I like Jason Lee, I really didn't see him as Dave. He did a good job, though.

        		 I didn't really like it. I saw it on a plane and got bored about 2/3 of the way through. I started watching someone else's DVD player. I guess the plot was a little too predictable for me.
        Recipe for nostalgia: Mix 80's and 90's culture. Stir in some good memories. Add a dash of reflection. Mixture should now taste bittersweet. Shake well and enjoy!

          		 I used to love the 80'd cartoon series,but this is something I was never interested in seeing as a movie. I wish they would do another tv series.

            		 I went to see it with my girlfirend and it was actually pretty good much better than most animated live action cross over movies.

                		 I had to watch it with the students. It wasn't bad, but I still had a tough time getting into it. For what it was, it was okay....just wasn't the same for me, or either I have to be younger to appreciate it.

                  		 This is something that more suited to a younger audience. Could be that one of the older incarnations is what you remember these characters as and can't get into this.
