Well, I thought it was okay. It could've been better. I guess it was good for a beat-'em-up kind of movie. The second one was horrible though.

Now, compared to Street Fighter, which came out around the same time, it was the better of the two.

The Street Fighter movie didn't really appeal to me.

I liked it a lot. It was a film that was liked by a number of people that didn't care for the game. I hope they can get back closer to the quality of the first film with the 3rd picture coming out. Hope it does good and maybe we could get another mk tv series. It's ashame the mk conquest had good rating, but could,t get backing to do a second season.

Both movies kicked ass. I don't care what anyone else says.

I loved the first one! I still do!! I hope that the third one that's supposed to be coming out, is as good as the first film was.

Now, as for the second movie, it's one of the worst films I've ever seen. It was completely off! It was like an original sci-fi movie or something. I was so disappointed when my cousin and I went to the theatres to see it. We had such high hopes. This movie is on the same level as the Street Fighter movie, and I hated that too.

I knew Annihilation was going to be horrible after seeing the trailers. Seriously, you can't go from 1 to 3 without 2, so why make a movie about the first game, then jump to one about the third? Ridiculous. The fight scenes weren't bad, but there were too many characters and a horrid plot. Animality? When was that ever important in the game other than a test of skill? And Raiden a mortal? Come on... You know, James Remar did well in filling Lambert's shoes, but there was a reason he didn't come back for this movie.

But anyway, the first film was really good. It followed the game pretty well and had some good kombat mixed with some good music. Goro, although awesome-looking at first, should have been a bit more broad-shouldered and less humanoid, but that's just a small gripe I have. And I was iffy on Linden Ashby as Johnny Cage but he pulled it off nicely. Speaking of actors, the cast was very apt, especially Lambert and Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa.

It's the best video game-based movie I've seen thus far.

I thought it was crap. Bad acting, horrible plot, lazy choreography and Gorro looked fucking stupid. The only thing good about it was the killer soundtrack.

Most movie video-game movies are stupid. I'm sorry if you enjoyed Resident Evil but no thanks for me. Then again I'm really picky about films...

Anyways, I saw it as a kid and grew up playing the old Sega games. So I'd say then I liked it. I watched it a while ago, it was a bit stupid yes, but it brough back memories. Compared to the sequel though, it was a superior movie. Which isn't saying much..

Yeah, the fight scenes. They were just sloppy and didn't make sense.

Well, I know you meant fight scenes, but I didn't get how it could be lazy or sloppy. However, even though I liked them, I do admit that the constant slow-motion effect got annoying.

Scorpion vs Johnny Cage was a good fight scene i thought. Probably the best of the movie.

The Liu vs Reptile fight was my favorite for the film. Next would be Johnny Cage vs Scorpion ("Get down here!" ) My least favorite was Liu vs Sub Zero. That whole fight seemed pointless to me.
