      		 Cool. Those early VCR and tapes had a better picture than the later ones. Fuji always had the best picture I thought.

        Very true. It's the old built to last until the market matures ploy.
        Recipe for nostalgia: Mix 80's and 90's culture. Stir in some good memories. Add a dash of reflection. Mixture should now taste bittersweet. Shake well and enjoy!

          Cool seeing a BASF ad there. Their recording tape is of a very high quality, I have BASF recordable cassette tapes and videotapes from the early 90's that still play well.

          I also read a few years back an interview with record producer Shel Talmy, he was talking about revisiting the first Who album to do the mix for it's reissue and him being glad he used BASF tapes for the masters and stereo mixes because they've lasted fine since they were originally used in 1965 and hardly required any maintanence and no repairs when he went back to them in 2002.
