And this may sound like a cop-out, but I like both of them equally. Where one has the comical charm and colorful texture, the other has a relative semblance to the original comic book that spawned it. Both have their strengths and weaknesses. The 80s toon was light, whimsy, and just plain fun without the worry of continuity or story. 2K3, though not as flamboyant in its look and attitude, focused more on writing and turned up the action. I like both for what they are, and what they are not.

cquinniey 6 years 4 months ago Posts: 454	I Like the 4KIDS Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. It's closer to the comic book. I don't care for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Fast Forward. Fast Forward isn't bad compared to a lot shows on Saturdays. A lot of my friends disagree with me because they like cartoons that are funny.

Retrogamer92 6 years 4 months ago Posts: 384	I like the older cartoon because it was lighthearted and fun, while the other show tries to be more serious so it sometimes winds up being a little silly because of that. Also on today's show, Donatello gets no respect, Leonardo and Rapheal are focused on more. On the old show, all four of the turtles got equal chances in the spotlight.

Ninja weapons shooting magical lasers and hopped-up vehicles (instead of the old junky turtle van) are not my idea of fun. Besides....WHERE ARE THEIR GODDAMN PUPILS? blueluigi 6 years 2 months ago Posts: 3365 Account Disabled	Also, for those who say the new cartoon sucks because it doesn't have characters like Bebop and Rocksteady or Krang, they weren't in the original comics. If the characters were not in the original comics, then they wouldn't put them in the 2003 cartoon. The 2003 version is based off the comics and not the 1987 show.
