It cannot be considered a ripoff if it came out first! DO RESEARCH, and proceed to eat crow! That said, Digimon the show rocks socks, Pokemon the game rapes Digimon games.

I became familiar with Digimon right around the time Pokemon came out. And yes I never bothered to look it up myself. So thanks.

I did my research, and in doing so, I was able to find out that "Pocket Monsters" Red and Green first came out in 1996 (with a copyright date of 1995 and in production since 1990), while the original Tamagotchi-esque "Digital Monster" toys were planned, produced, and released in 1997. Seriously dude, do your own research before blatantly calling out people like that.

Me and my mate Dom once tried to give him a swirly, but he got away. Another time I went to my mate Josh's house and I flushed his sack of Pokemon cards in the toilet.
