Does anyone know how to make french toast? I used to make it a long time ago but ive forgotten how! The things I used to use were milk, eggs, cinnamon, and bread (of course), but ive forgotten the quantities, and do you add anything to the pan like oil?

I tried looking it up, but all they have are hardcore recipes that use flour and sugar and egg whites and vanilla, BLAH. I just want to use milk, eggs and cinnamon.

I believe you dredge the bread through the egg, and then place it in a pan. Before heading to work tonight, I will make some for supper. I would pam the pan first, as eggs can be a bitch to get off.

Break an egg in a bowl, add milk, cinammon, vanilla, whatever. Beat the egg and mix all together. Dip the bread in the bowl, coating one side. Flip. Coat other side. Put in greased pan. Don't set too high or you'll cook the egg on the outside too fast and the middle (bread) will still be too soft.

Thanks :) how much milk though?
I tried to make it this morning, I think I added to much milk.....not sure, I used 1 egg, and the bread kept falling apart and sticking to the pan, even when I used oil. I had to throw away 3 pieces of bread. It was potato bread, im not sure if thats why it kept falling apart. I barely submersed the damn thing lol.

Not much milk. Just a little. Like... 1/8 cup? Don't use too much oil, either. Just enough to keep it from sticking. And make sure the bread is well coated, both sides, but let the excess drip off before putting it in the pan. Otherwise you have egg bread.

I think there's actually a cereal you can buy that simulates French-Toast with uncanny accuracy. Just add milk and enjoy it with a friend.

Did you not see that when you add milk to French-Toast cereal it creates a cinnamon & syrup taste explosion?

you may not want to use milk on your french toast

                                    it's optional

No, you have to use milk or it says to go fuck yourself. It's right there on the box.
