I like the part where the older sister reads those words with the talisman and then when they ask her if she's a virgin she's like "kind of, it didnt count." :p

System 9 years 7 months ago Posts: 74809	Rumors I have heard is that it is in publishers copyright hell for a DVD release... hoping real soon though. I loved it. And it was sooo much like the Goonies that the main kids in both movies even had the same mom. (same actor that is) "Scary German guy is Bitchin" I love how even in the credits he was listed as only Scary German guy yes I read credits... I guess I am a true Mystery Science Threatre fan true and true

I went to my local video rental store and looked at the video box and seemed interested in renting it. So I rented it and I loved it. I liked the movie trailer of "The Unholy" that was at the beginning of the tape. Even though that was a movie that I never saw. If The Monster Squad does come to DVD, I want it to be in it's original theatrical widescreen format.

As far as I know about the rights to The Monster Squad, it is owned by both Tri-Star (Which is now owned by Sony Entertainment) and Vestron Video. Tri-Star is the studio that it was filmed at. And Vestron Video is the company that released it onto home video.

TV1985 9 years 1 month ago Posts: 386	Yesterday, I was at a Halloween party and I brought The Monster Squad with me. People were interested in seeing what it was about. Before I poped it into the VCR, I told them that it's about a group of kids who go after 5 different monster icons in Horror film history. One: Dracula, Two: The Wolf Man, Three: The Mummy, Four: Gillman/The Creature of the Black Lagoon, and Five: Frankenstien. Then I poped the video tape into the VCR and pushed play and everyone had there eyes on the tv screen from begginning to end. After watching it, they all told me that they loved it. There were only a couple of people there who have seen it before I brought it to the party. I was suprised that everyone in that room loved it. They all ask me if it's on DVD. I told them, "No. But It should be on DVD." I'm really proud of myself for bringing a good horror movie to a Halloween party yesterday.
